So today is September 22. Today is a good day. Today is the release date of LIGHTS' album The Listening. I've been a fan of LIGHTS for about a half a year, and I am super pumped to hear this album.
Being a metalhead, its funny that one of my next favourite genres is electro pop. It is good stuff.
I've had her song Saviour stuck in my head all day, and it is both beautiful and annoying at the same time. It is an amazing song, and I'm itching to hear the rest of the album. Today's mission after work will be to track down a record store that either already has it in stock [knowing Vernon....definitely unlikely] or go with option B and order it in.
I've never been this stoked on an album of this genre before...its kind of strange. LIGHTS is a beautiful artist who creates beautiful music [ok, so she's pretty good looking herself]. If anyone doesn't listen to her already, should check out her myspace, show some love. LIGHTS MYSPACE: [link]
In the mean time, I shall continue to listen to Saviour on repeat until I can get my hands on a copy of The Listening.
